As the countdown continues to the release of Dark Space, I thought now would be a great time to clear up any confusion about the series.
The official release date for book one of the new Rogue Hunter series has been confirmed for November 1, 2012. To make sure you're first in line to get your copy of Rogue Hunter: Inquest, don't forget to subscribe to our newsletter!
Over the past year or so, I've only hinted at what I've really been working on in my dark, mysterious dungeon. But now that I've decided to push up the date of release for the next book in the Rogue Hunter series, it's time to let the cat out of the bag. So here it goes:
When I embarked on the journey to write Zyra's backstory, I knew future Rogue Hunter books would venture into darker territory than its predecessors. What I didn't anticipate was just how dark. This missing link between the events of Gaia and Quest of the Hunterreveal a very dark period in Zyra's life. The film noir tone of the new books will give readers a voyeuristic look into her life as a struggling bounty hunter with all the gritty realism of the genre. This deviation from the lighter fare of previous Rogue Hunter books allows us to finally see what makes our favorite bounty hunter tick. But it also means some of what happens won't be easy to read about.
It's been more than a year since the last Rogue Hunter book was published. In that time, I've been working very hard at penning the new stories. Initially my goal was to attempt to complete the entire series before publishing the next book. But I realized very quickly that this would take a great deal of time to do and would probably end up alienating the readers who enjoyed the earlier books. Thus, my decision to publish the next book on New Year's Day.
